I still remember the time, when I launched my first professional website, few years back. I was excited and I made calls to my professor “Faisal Nadeem” and my friends and cousins to tell them about my new site.

After few days, I entered my site’s url in Google, just for the sake of fun, but instead of being proud, I had to face unwanted search result. My site wasn’t there. I didn’t know that what happened. I started to search for the reason over internet and in few minutes, I had the answer.

I told everyone about my new site, but I forgot to tell Google about it. Google doesn’t know anything about new websites, unless, you or some one else tell him about it.

There are couple of ways of telling Google that your site exist.

1- Submit your web site’s url to Google for free. It is a one-step procedure. Simply go to Google’s submission page and add the url. Due to huge number of website submission on daily basis, Google does not guarantee the listing for every submission but usually sooner or later, Google does list website.

2- If you want to get listed in Google for sure and in less time, you need to get a link from a website that is already being indexed in Google for some time. It will take only one link to get your website noticed by Google bot.

First step of link building completes after submission to Google. Now, I would suggest you to check with other search engines and web directories as well to take more steps in link building campaign.
