ylinksThe first advice you are going to get after having your website or blog launched from experts is to have lots of back links pointing back to your site. Link building isn’t an easy task. It takes time, strategy, resources and continuous patience to have a reasonable number of links.

But what makes this tedious and time consuming process so necessary? Is it some kind of media hype or we need links for some genuine reasons.

Well, its not any media hype. We definitely need back links if we don’t want our website to die a lonely and sad death.

Here are some reasons  that would justify my above statement.

1- Back links from similar themed websites can be a great source of targeted traffic. If you got less or no links, no one may know about your site and your site may finally lose the market.

2- Internet is composed of links. More links you have pointing to your site, more visibility you will achieve among the Internet users.

3- Websites or blogs link back to your site if they find it important and worthy to mention at their space. More links you have, more important your site would be assumed by search engines.

4- If important and huge websites in your niche link back to you, you will earn reputation among users and SEs. Competitors will be friendly neighbourhood and may leave the positive impact on your sale indirectly.

I guess, some of you know more reasons for having backlinks than I have listed here. I would be more grateful, if you share your knowledge with us.

Happy linking
